Welcome to Fotojorno! Thank you for visiting our page. You probably got here through our business card, flyer or any other marketing material and was probably expecting lots of images of our work. Allow us to briefly introduce ourselves and the brands of our company. Our company is called Fotojorno Ltd. which is based in Auckland, New Zealand. We do wedding, portrait and headshot photography. All of these services were under one brand, Fotojorno. In time, we realised that each kind of photography we do caters to a different market. Hence, we decided to separate them into the brands you see below.
Our company started in 2009 and was incorporated in 2013. As with many other businesses, ours started out as a hobby until one day, after volunteering for a church event, a couple asked us to photograph their wedding. We did not have any wedding under our belt at that time but they entrusted their special day in our hands. We never looked back from then on. We upgraded not only our hardware and software but more importantly, ourselves, in order to exceed the expectations of our clients.
As for ourselves, we are Allan and Bernie Gojar, a husband and wife team who manages the company. Allan is the main photographer of the company. A trained engineer, Allan combines the precision of science with his artistic flair when it comes to photography. Whether the shoot is done indoors or outdoors, Allan aims for minimalism and class in his images. His style appeals to clients who want photos that show who they are, not masked amidst props or scenery. The hero in his images will always be the people in the photograph. They are coached and directed so that their best is shown.
The other half of the team is Bernie. She takes care of the marketing and business aspect. She spent 15 years in the corporate world dealing with sales, marketing and trade marketing. She has worked for companies such as Johnson and Johnson, L'Oreal, and Mead Johnson Nutritionals. She also holds a Graduate Diploma in Information Design that honed her skills in enhancing user experience, thus making her more customer and consumer focused. She is the main point of contact for all client needs.
